ONE WORLD TRI MENTOR PROGRAM
New to triathlon? Interested in some guidance to take your racing to the next level?The One World Triathlon has established the One World Tri Mentor Program to help all levels of athletes train and prepare for the One World Triathlon Cincinnati on June 29 in downtown Cincinnati. From free plans to highly individualized coaching, the One World Triathlon will take you to your potential.
The One World Tri Mentor Program offers three levels of training with One World Triathlon's USAT certified coach, Kathy Cunningham of Athlete-Inside.
LEVEL 1 - FREE BASIC TRAINING PLAN STARTING APRIL 1*
LEVEL 2 - TRIATHLON SPECIFIC TRAINING CLINICS FOR $25
LEVEL 3 - INDIVIDUALIZED TRAINING PLANS WITH COACH CUNNINGHAM

TRAINING PLANS
Level 1 - Basic training plans for sprint and Olympic distance- These plans are being offered free of charge!
- Recommended workouts will be sent to you each week via email.
- The Level 1 plans are primarily time/distance based, but will include tips each week for getting the most out of your workouts.
- Each plan will include "A" and "B" workouts. The "A" workouts will be oriented toward new endurance athletes or those with very limited training time. The "B" workouts will include a bit more volume, and will be a good match for athletes with 1-2 years experience in endurance sports.
- Also in Level 1, a free race-course preview and orientation, held on-site, 10 days (Thursday, June 19) before the race!
- The sessions can be purchased for $25 each, or $80 for the entire package
- Focus of each session will be:
- Session 1: Running clinic (weekend of April 12)
- Running technique and drills to improve your running
- Pacing tips and guidelines
- Nutrition information
- Session 2: Cycling clinic (weekend of April 26)
- Equipment selection
- Safety - pre-ride checks and group cycling skills
- Intro to transition skills
- Bike mount-dismount skills
- Session 3: Open-water swimming (weekend of May 17)
- Acclimation and key tips for first-timers
- Sighting and pacing
- Entry and exit skills
- Organization of your transition area
- Session 4: Bringing it all together! (weekend of June 14)
- Swim starts and more open-water swimming practice
- Swim to bike transition practice
- Bike to run transition practice
- Answer pre-race questions
- Session 1: Running clinic (weekend of April 12)
- Handouts and tip sheets provided for each session
