WELCOME TO CINCINNATI

Cincinnati is a Midwest destination city, historically known as "The Queen City of the West." With some of the best dining, parks, amenities and arts scene you'll find, make it a family weekend during your stay for the Cincinnati One World Triathlon.

Cincinnati's existence began on a December morning in 1788, when two dozen pioneers, rafting down the Ohio River, landed their flatboats at Yeatman's Cove. What started as a log-cabin settlement has now grown into one of the most vibrant and thriving cities in the Midwest. Today, Cincinnati boasts a thriving arts scene, world class museums, major league sports teams, the world famous Cincinnati Zoo, the Newport Aquarium and a revitalized riverfront with shopping, clubs and restaurants. Nearby are such attractions as the Kings Island Amusement Park and the Kentucky Speedway.

The Cincinnati One World Triathlon takes place on the banks of the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati. With downtown skyscrapers and the stadiums of the Reds and the Bengals as a backdrop, athletes will race in and along the banks of the Ohio River. The start and finish will be Sawyer Point, a focal point for recreation and entertainment in Cincinnati. Not just for racing, Sawyer Point offers a sculpture plaza, amphitheater, performance pavilion, geologic timeline, parcourse fitness stations, kids' playground on 22 acres overlooking the Ohio River.
