REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK UP*

Saturday, July 24, 11-4pm, Sawyer Point

Great Ohio River Swim - 6:30am on 7/25, Sawyer Point

There is no Cincinnati Triathlon packet pick up or race entry on race day.  You may enter the Great Ohio River Swim on race morning, July 24.

Please respect no race day packet pick up.  Since we have announced we will not be doing packet pickup on race day, we will not be staffed to accommodate you and you may not be able to race.  If you absolutely, positively cannot make it on the Thursday or Saturday before the race, please email racedirector@tucsonracing.com and special arrangements will be made for you to pick up your race number.

If you are an annual member of USA Triathlon please bring your valid annual membership card with a photo ID to packet pickup.  If you do not bring your membership card and photo ID then you will be assessed the $10 one day insurance fee.  We cannot make exceptions to this rule per our insurance agreement with USA Triathlon.  To do so will jeopardize our insurance coverage.

*Packet pick up is not available at the Triathlon Walk Through on 7/22 but you may register for the event at that time.

WETSUITS

In order to insure a fair playing field for all athletes, the Cincinnati Triathlon will be following USAT Triathlon rules with respect to wetsuit use.  Wetsuits will be allowed only if the water temperature is 78.0 and below.  The wetsuit ruling will be made on race day.  In 2008 and 2009 wetsuits were not allowed.

TIMING

CHIPS will be distributed on race day.

RESULTS

Results will  be posted on this website late on race day.

USAT RULES

This is a USA TRIATHLON sanctioned race.  All participants must be annual members of USA Triathlon or purchase the one day insurance license (included with entry).

USAT AGE GROUP RULE: USA Triathlon, the governing body of the sport of triathlon, instituted a new age group rule in 2005. Your race age is your age on December 31, 2009. Therefore, if you age up into a new age group during the calendar year of 2009, you race in that new age group for the 2009 season. For example, Sally is 34 years old on the day of the Cincinnati One World Triathlon on July 26, 2009. Her birthday is on August 15, 2009 and on her birthday she will turn 35. Therefore, Sally races in the 35-39 age group for all of 2009, including in Cincinnati. If you have a birthday in 2009 that puts you in another age group, you will race with that age group in the race and leave in that age group's wave. Using our example above, even though Sally is 34 at the Cincinnati One World Triathlon, she will race in the 35-39 age group, start with the 35-39 wave and get awards based on her finish in the 35-39 age group. It is the athlete's responsibility to enter their correct age and leave in the correct wave. Athlete's racing in the wrong wave will be disqualified.

We will have draft marshalls on the course.  There is no drafting or blocking. If you are unsure of the drafting or blocking rules please go to USA Triathlon or attend one of the pre-race meetings.

We will be following the USA Triathlon wetsuit rule.
