COURSE DETAILS

OVERVIEW

The Cincinnati Triathlon and Duathlon traverse some of Ohio's most beautiful scenery.  The swim is downstream in the Ohio River, ending at the waterfront in Downtown Cincinnati.  The bike course climbs and falls along Columbia Parkway.  All six  lanes will be completely closed to traffic for the triathlon and duathlon.  Deceptively difficult, Columbia Parkway offers spectacular views of the Ohio River, Downtown Cincinnati and the Kentucky shoreline.  The run winds along the shaded banks of the Ohio River through Friendship Park with a quick detour across the Purple People Bridge to Kentucky before returning to the finish line at Sawyer Point.

START LOCATIONS

  • Olympic Triathlon - Montgomery Inn Boathouse, approximately 1000 meters upstream from the transition area.

  • Sprint Triathlon - Riverside, Serpentine Wall, near the Purple People Bridge

  • Sprint Duathlon - Top of Serpentine Wall, near the Purple People Bridge

The bike turnaround is at the top of the hill above Delta. If you reach Delta you have gone to far.  Please note that the map is not to scale and does not depict Columbia Parkway between Downtown and Delta.

Exit Columbia Parkway into Downtown on the Columbia Parkway onramp. Right turn on Sentinel, right turn on Eggleston, right turn on Pete Rose way, left turn on Mehring.

At the transition entrance, continue straight on Mehring Way.

Just after you go under the 71/75 Freeway, go right on Rose, left on Pete Rose and u-turn onto Mehring Way back to the transition area.
